Just the thirty-five years empty for this property! Though it may look like a normal terraced house from the front it looks out onto a beautiful harbour, with views of Portsdown Hill, in a very desirable area. The house is full of decrepid fishing and sea-faring stuff – rods, ropes, reels – like an old forgotten warehouse.

Neighbours say the owner visits from time to time to collect the post and claims he’s ‘going to do something with the property soon’ but nothing seems to materialise. This sort of waste is a disgrace in the current property climate. Local authorities have a duty to force owners to do something about properties like this. We will write to Gosport Borough Council to see what can be done, also try to contact the owner, but we’re not holding our breath.
