In the midst of a housing crisis, this house has been left empty for over a year but it’s a strange one as it belongs to Bristol City Council.

In a move applauded by us at Solving Empty Homes, the council house has been plastered with posters by student activists calling for the local authority to give it to those who need it most.

The house in Morgan Street, St Pauls has been left to fall into disrepair since the last occupant moved out and now the usual suspects – vermin, local vandals, fly-tippers – have made their presence known.

Would this sort of action in other towns force councils to do something far quicker if the local media got onside also?
