This huge double property has been empty for a number of years and has been the bane of the neighbourhood, with the emergency services attending numerous times in the last few months.
The latest drama came last April when a fire was reported. A statement from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Several calls received to report a house on fire in the Anstey area of Leicester.
“Upon their arrival, fire crews confirmed that one detached property was well alight and requested the assistance of an aerial ladder platform.
“Entry was gained to the house and two breathing apparatus and a hose reel were in use inside, with another hose reel in use outside the property.”
In April last year, a fire at the other building on the land had to be extinguished by fire crews.
A resident at the time said: “It’s a right eyesore and it’s dangerous for any kids who go in there.”
