Local authorities get lots of bad publicity but here’s a story from last year in GrimsbyLive which we hope they won’t mind us sharing that puts North East Lincolnshire Council in a good light. Admittedly, it took almost two decades, but they have taken an unwanted property, renovated it, and brought it back to its former glory. It’s now being used for what it was built for – housing a family. The transformation is wonderful to see. To use a well-worn cliche, it’s not rocket science. These houses are sitting there and just need some positive action to get them useful again.
Anyway, well done NELC.
